Why Unique Perspective is Key to Finding your traction

I don’t think a single artist is out there trying to “copy” another artist, or at not maliciously, but sometimes emulating what you see as successful will not result in the outcome you are hoping for. This is why perspective is far more important to find than style. We ALL do it, we look around at what is selling, placing, being chosen and in some form or another we look to replicate it. But if we are doing all the things we are seeing “working” why do certain artists move forward while others don’t? This is why finding your voice, style and unique perspective is so important when it comes to finding traction in Art Licensing and what happens when you find yourself looking too close.
